Hagar earned her Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics and clinical nutrition services at the University of Georgia, where she also participated in sports nutrition research as an undergraduate. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at South University.
She was employed as a dietician with the DeKalb County Board of Health prior to attending pharmacy school and she worked as a pharmacist for more than four years at several private businesses before she joined ACMR.
Hagar is a member of the American Pharmacist Association (APhA) and is certified in its Pharmacy Based Immunization Delivery program, as well as in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
She was attracted to work at ACMR by her desire to improve healthcare outcomes for patients.
Hagar and her family support the Atlanta Mission, an organization that works with the homeless. Also, she has volunteered with Project Open Hand, an organization that delivers food to those who suffer from chronic diseases. Outside of work, she spends time with her husband, exercises and participates in recreational sports.
