Dr. Zelman joined the Atlanta Center for Medical Research with previous experience as a Principal Investigator in pharmaceutical research. He is an adjunct assistant professor at the Emory School of Medicine and an active file reviewer in the insurance and legal professions.
Dr. Zelman earned his MD from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He completed an internal medicine residency at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island and a fellowship in Rheumatology at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Later, he obtained board certification in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
After working in private practice in New Orleans, Dr. Zelman joined Kaiser Permanente in Atlanta, where he worked for 21 years. He remains licensed to practice in Georgia.
