ACMR spread the word about the work it does on Oct. 18 at the Seniors and Baby Boomer Expo at Stonecrest Mall in Lithonia.
About 100 people stopped by ACMR’s table during the event, which ran from noon to 5 p.m. ACMR disseminated information and gave out raffle tickets for a gas grill while at the event.
ACMR staff also shared resources and information about relevant services to participants with Parkinson’s Disease, memory issues, high-blood pressure and diabetes.
The event featured fitness demonstrations and free health screenings for hypertension and diabetes. Along with ACMR, nearly two dozen exhibitors participated. The event’s co-sponsors were Kaiser Permanente and CrossRoadsNews.
The event also included entertainment all day long with a stage and everything from age 50-plus modeling to dancing and singing.
