ACMR has a 21,000 square foot hospital facility fully dedicated to inpatient and outpatient clinical trials.
Inpatient Units
ACMR’s diverse inpatient units are fully staffed 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Our units include 64 beds with private rooms available. The unit offers common areas designated for leisure activities like ping-pong, video games, television and board games. Our full service commercial cafeteria can design and serve specialized menus to meet protocol specific needs. The nurses stations are centrally located on each unit for continuous observation of study participants.

ACMR helps make inpatient stays more enjoyable by providing individualized activities in our activity room featuring a complete ceramics workshop and arts and crafts. The secured courtyard area offers a comfortable setting for recreational activities. All activities are evaluated for each study participant keeping in mind the study design (placebo/pk) and length of inpatient stay.
All ACMR staff have been certified, trained and experienced in handling diverse patient population. We are able to adapt to varied populations with specific needs providing separate areas and additional staff as required. ACMR has established relationships with three emergency rooms within a few blocks of our unit to ensure a quick response if a medical emergency should occur.
Outpatient Unit
Our facility contains a separate outpatient division. The outpatient unit is designated with waiting areas for specific patient populations, exam rooms, phlebotomy rooms, infusion rooms, testing rooms, private coordinator offices and other areas designed to optimize the flow of outpatient studies. ACMR provides transportation to and from appointments for all study volunteer patients.
Monitoring rooms
At ACMR, dedicated (private) monitoring rooms are equipped with telephone, telefax, high speed internet and copy machines. A spacious conference room is available for site initiation visits, audits and pre-study visits. All monitors have access to newly updated private restrooms as well as a designated break area.
Medical Records
In order to exceed federal and sponsor expectations, Atlanta Center for Medical Research has improved our method for record retention and storage. Records are a very important part of our industry and our 30 years of research experience has given us the edge, ensuring that our records are stored appropriately.
How are our records stored?

ACMR’s records are maintained in house by our full time medical records personnel. We currently have all documents on-site for record retention. Our goal is to ensure the safety of data for any potential future requirements.
Pharmacy
We have a dedicated pharmacy with a Research Pharmacist who is responsible for study drug receiving/shipping, study drug accountability logs, ordering of study medication (including the IVRS systems) and enrollment log completion and faxing. Study drug is maintained in the pharmacy which is a secured, monitored and climate controlled room.
Equipment
State-of-the-art equipment, such as, refrigerated centrifuges, -100, -80, -70 and -20 freezers which are locked, alarmed, connected to a backup generator in case of power loss, temp log- 7 days per week, EEC & ECG machines, ultrasound equipment, Intravenous Pumps, Patient heart and O2 Monitors, etc., are maintained and available for use with studies. AED/Defib, O2, Crash cart.
Tier Level Facility
ACMR is fully equipped with backup systems to ensure proper functioning under unexpected circumstances. The facility is able to adapt to the changes to ensure proper up-time.
