JOB TITLE – Process Improvement Coordinator


  • Works within the Process Improvement department to help develop and implement processes that achieve the company’s quality and efficiency goals in the execution of clinical trials. Prepares and assists with the conduction of trainings. Participates as vital member of Quality Department assisting in overall departmental tasks and goals.

SUPERVISOR – Process Improvement Lead




  • Works with staff to observe and document the steps related to departmental tasks and processes
  • Thoroughly documents interdepartmental observations
  • Assists Process Improvement Lead in performing periodic review and revision of Training Standard Operating Procedures as necessary
  • Monitors the progress of planned improvement implementations to assure achievement of expected outcomes
  • Assists with identification, development, and implementation of training programs for Clinical Research Staff based upon feedback from the Process Improvement Lead, Quality, Operations, and self-discovery
  • Assists in achieving organizational goals in striving for process excellence, process documentation, and process compliance
  • Escalates and present major findings to the Process Improvement Lead
  • Other duties as assigned


This position requires the following minimal requirements:

  • Strong writing skills
  • Minimal knowledge of clinical trials
  • Basic experience with Excel
  • Accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail imperative
  • Skill in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff
  • Ability to work independently, as well as within a team
  • Ability to present a positive image of the facility
  • Ability to maintain client and company confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, physicians, and management
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in written form
  • Skill in time management and execute workload with minimal supervision

EDUCATION – Bachelor’s degree required

The ideal candidate will be an independent, critical thinker with strong attention to detail. This person must be a quick learner with excellent interpersonal skills who is experienced in Excel. This person needs to understand the bigger picture and be open to learning process improvement methodologies to streamline site processes. They must also be willing to adhere to the 7 guiding principles of our company and serve as a leader, reinforcing the principles.

EXPERIENCE – No experience needed, however background (either in previous position or college) must indicate a strong writing ability.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE – Good Clinical Practices and CPR training provided

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS – Standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m. May be required to complete job-related tasks outside of that time frame, in excess of a standard 40-hour work week. Requires prolonged walking, standing, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires occasional lifting of boxes up to 50 pounds. Work is performed in a medical office environment and includes exposure to blood-born pathogens and bio-hazardous materials. This role requires the ability to work with a broad range of personalities, situations and psychiatric disorders; therefore, candidates must possess the ability to resolve conflicts immediately and diffuse potentially escalating events before they occur.
