Responsible for planning, development, and implementation of all sales strategies, marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal with all related data. Oversees development and implementation of support materials and services in the area of sales, marketing, communications, and public relations. Directs the efforts of the marketing, recruiting and outreach and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with other departments within ACMR.


SUPERVISES – Pre-Enrollment, Marketing Department, Community Outreach, Call Center, Network



  • Create study media plans and obtain approval from sponsor to proceed

  • Coordinate study advertising planning, design and placement with ACMR agency, other media vendors or sponsor-provided placements services

  • Write, seek approval, and distribute press releases

  • Update company website, create study landing pages on website for online campaigns

  • Obtain approval from sponsor and IRB of all study advertising prior to its placement

  • Set up campaigns in database system to track results

  • Summarize results of advertising campaigns to provide to sponsor and improve future campaigns

  • Maintain internal tracking report of website data, advertising campaigns, and recruitment

  • Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including phone, print, text, online, electronic media, and direct mail.

  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners

  • Establish, manage, maintain, and update Call Center strategies and metrics

  • Establish, manage, maintain, and update Network strategies and metrics

  • Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.

  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs

  • Maintain a climate that attracts, retains, and motivates top quality personnel through goals and incentives

  • Responsible for overseeing the recruitment of participants for appropriate studies

  • Maintain familiarity with the FDA, Federal and local regulations pertaining to clinical trials (e.g. informed consent, institutional review boards, advertising rules, etc.), Personal Health Information, advertising, publication and solicitation.

  • Providing proactive alternatives in order to continue the growth and prosperity of the corporation

  • Increase awareness of ACMR and clinical trials to increase our goals

  • Attend and represent ACMR at meetings, conventions, and booths. Travel will be required.

  • Maintain public/private relationships by strategizing with state and neighborhood officials, including but not limited to City Counsel, State and County Representatives, Mayor’s office, and Neighborhood Representatives

  • Others duties as assigned


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES – This position requires the following minimal requirements:

  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications, and public relations

  • Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and sales skills

  • Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases

  • Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications

  • Strong oral and written communication

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time

  • Proficiency in computer systems

  • Proficiency in Marketing

  • Proficiency in Data Management

  • Skill in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with managers and co-workers

  • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures

  • Ability to manage, direct, and train staff

EDUCATION – BA/BS in Marketing or related field required, Master Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE – Minimum of 10 years experience in marketing, at least 3 years in a managerial role

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE– CPR training provided

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS – Standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May be required to complete job-related tasks outside of that time frame, in excess of a standard 40-hour work week. Requires prolonged walking, standing, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires occasional lifting of boxes up to 50 pounds. Work is performed in a medical office environment and includes exposure to blood-born pathogens and bio-hazardous materials. This role requires the ability to work with a broad range of personalities, situations and psychiatric disorders; therefore, candidates must possess the ability to resolve conflicts immediately and diffuse potentially escalating events before they occur. Travel to attend meetings, conventions, and conferences is required.
