Research Assistant
Scope
Do you have a passion for clinical research? The Atlanta Center for Medical Research is looking for a full-time Research Assistant. This is an entry-level position with potential growth opportunities. Applicants must be available for work Monday – Friday, 8:30a.m.-5:00p.m. and possess a bachelors degree to be considered.
Duties
Research Assistants (RA’s) provide support to clinical coordinators and all other research staff. RA’s assist in clinical trials by performing duties including, but not limited to: data transcription, filing, query resolution, lab kit preparation and detailed record keeping. Other job duties may be required.
Qualifications
- BA/BS required; science disciplines preferred.
- Previous research or scientific technical experience preferred.
- One (1) year experience working with study participants preferred.
Applicants must possess the following skills:
- Organization, record keeping and problem solving skills are mandatory.
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to complete paperwork in a timely fashion with precision and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently as well as functioning as part of a team.
- Must be able to communicate clearly both written and verbally.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with study subjects, families, staff and the public.
- Must be able to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
